What is Jumpstart Your Leadership?
First, let’s talk about what it is not. It’s not a leadership training program. It is a leadership development program, based on a key concept: that real learning for leaders is not a singular event, but a process.
We take the content and spread it out over six days (this takes 34 to 6 months) so that the leaders have a chance to learn it, think about it, reflect on it, discuss it and apply it.
In between classes there are assessments, assignments, and books to read, as well as conference calls with the facilitator to hold them accountable for what they are learning. In class, there are multiple learning modalities to help them learn on their own, from their peers, the group and the facilitator. There are role plays, panel discussions, DVDs, case studies, healthy debate and critical thinking exercises to help drive home the key concepts.
Lastly, they get to work on a real problem, opportunity and/or challenge in your organization in small teams. They then solve and present their solutions at the end of the program. This often results in saving or even increasing revenue, which means that the program pays for itself many times over.
